Diamond Ball Announcement; Tim Mcarthur

The BMS is pleased to announce that Tim Mcarthur as Sister Mary will be performing a short comedy sketch after which he will announce the raffle prizes at the BMS Diamond Ball in support of Help for Heroes in Mayfair on the 15th June.

As a solo performer Tim has performed his one man Show at the Purcell Room, Don’t Tell Mama (NYC),several seasons at Pizza On the Park, Jermyn Street Theatre, New End Theatre, Upstairs at The Gatehouse, Norden Farm Maidenhead. Performed for Albert Rioux 70th Birthday party and many other corporate events. He recently was the head-line performer at, the Mayor of Hereford’s Black and White Ball and on June 15th 2013 shall be appearing at The Diamond Ball in Mayfair for The British Monarch Society and Help the Heroes.

He has supported Graham Norton, Julian Clary, Bobby Davro and he appears regularly as his comedy character Sister Mary McArthur, several seasons at Jermyn Street including recently “On Ya Knees – Confessions with West End Stars” , she represented Jermyn Street Theatre in West End Eurovision and she has performed at the RVT, Graham Norton BBC1, Opened the New Space Theatre in Cape Town, a season at Don’t Tell Mama New York, London’s Comedy Store, Elton John’s Party, Natural Voices at Leicester Square Theatre and most recently headlined the Chelsea Sketches Black and White Cross dressing Ball.

Presenting credits include BBC London, “Tim McArthur Interviews” -Theatre Radio, Theatre247.tv on Sky, Gaydar Radio, The Olivier Awards on Line, for two years he was the host and presenter of “Rose D’anjou”- The Queen’s Alternative Garden Party” and he currently presents “The Curtain Up Show” a weekly look at London’s theatre scene-live on Resonance 104.4fm which is about to celebrate its 1st birthday.

Tim was also resident director for Above The Stag Theatre credits there included Maurice, My Beautiful Laundrette, When Harry met Barry, Oscars World, The Blink Series and

Cleveland Street. Other directing credits include The Sunny Side of The Street, Jack The Ripper, Seduction. Solo performers Tim has directed include Helen Lederer, Rebecca Carrington, Holly Penfield and Earl Grey. He recently directed Vocalarity and the recent tour of Four Poofs and a Piano.

Recent theatre credits include Sam Byck in Assassins at The Pleasance Theatre (2012), Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered (2011), Classic Moments Hidden Treasures (2010) (Jermyn Street). Silence of The Lambs (Above The Stag), John Prescott in Blair on Broadway (Arts Theatre) Forever Plaid (UK Tour)Fred Astaires His Daughter’s Tribute (London Palladium) Helen Lederer’s One Night Stand with her date Tim McArthur (UK Tour) Cole, Side By Side Sondheim (Upstairs at The Gatehouse) You’re Gonna Love Tomorrow (Greenwich), Company (WestCliff), Wizard of Oz (Guildford) South Pacific (Aberystwyth) Joseph (Middlesbrough and Chelmsford) plays include As You Like it (Colchester) Twelfth Night (Catford) and Another Country (Greenfields). Tim has spent three seasons playing Dame in Panto in Hereford – Dick Whittington (2012) Sleeping Beauty (2011) Aladdin (2010) and for the fourth and final year Ugly Sister in Cinderella this Christmas.
